VICTORVILLE • The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Victorville Station announced this week the start of its You Are Not Alone, or YANA, Program for seniors, handicapped or homebound people.

According to a sheriff’s news release, the program will help ensure the safety of impaired citizens through regular telephone contact with Sheriff’s Department members.

LUCERNE VALLEY • Two Lucerne Valley women are facing felony animal cruelty charges after authorities found them in possession of a large number of dogs and cats living in filthy conditions, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department documents.

Sherree Lynn Lutter, 58, and 29-year-old Lacy Lynn Lutter were arrested Feb. 13 in the 30000 block of Neighborly Place in Lucerne Valley.

VICTORVILLE • Multiple burglary suspects were arrested Thursday following a sting by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victorville Station deputies in connection with several area burglaries going back as far as 2012.

According to Detective Danny Maddox, the operation began at around 7 a.m. after warrants were granted. A 20-person team split between 10 detectives and 10 gang team deputies hit five to six locations throughout the city.
